Dr. Shweta

Dr Shweta has earned BDS from Manipal University in India and DDS from University of California, San Francisco with honors in patient-centered care. She was born and brought up in India and moved to the US to pursue her dream of higher education in the US.

She has also completed one year of Masters in Public Health in Ohio before joining her DDS program. Dr Shweta believes in a preventive approach to enable long-term dental health and has treated many patients with extensive decay using the CAMBRA protocol – a caries control and prevention program.

She also makes a point to thoroughly discuss all aspects of a treatment prior to any procedure with the belief that a complete understanding can help take the fear out of treatment. She creates a friendly environment which makes anxious patients relax.

She is an active member of Capital Area Dental Society and continues to update herself with continuing education courses. Her recent courses include Esthetic Dentistry, TMJ Pain Management, Infection Control and Practice Management. She is also CAD-CAM and Laser certified.

Dr Shweta is fluent in Hindi, English and is also learning Spanish. When not working, she loves travelling, cooking, watching movies and spending time with her two toddler boys and husband.
